I was right, as always
You did hear nothing from me for quite awhile!
And I have been at the pool quite a lot!

the vacation that just keeps on
Was a blast! We had our usual variety of weather and a nice relaxing time. We absolutely love the campground. In fact we haven't missed a weekend since we started out there in May. We bought a portable fireplace that was so popular; we now see several like ours out there! I couldn't give you a direct link to the fireplace. It is the second one on this page.
During our vacation week the "heated" pool was a very cool seventy+ degrees. It has redeemed itself and is now in the eighties regularly. Comfortable swimming even when the weather is in the sixties.
We did some fishing while there. Girlfriend got real excited when Rand brought out his first stick. She knew what it was all about then. She went right in and started bringing out her own sticks. That lasted until Girlfriend discovered bullfrogs.
Kizzie, of course, hates water. She was quite content to sit by my side. At one point she rolled over to scratch her back - and fell into the pond! I don't know what scared her more the water or the frog she scared up!
I'm already tan and blond. My two favorite ingredients: Chlorine and sun!

getting better
Mom's surgery made a big difference for her. Her leg immediately improved and she is walking much better. Her spine is missing a lot of bone in one spot (where her fragments came from and what the surgeon had to remove to get to the fragments) and she must behave herself for several weeks at least. Anyone knows that is easier said than done where Mom is concerned. They were able to join us while camping. And did the next weekend as well.

funny Ha-Ha!
Last time I updated, I sat here at the computer for a couple of hours. I did my update, cleaned up my emails, cleared some files, uploaded updates on the computer, etc....
Unknown to me - Willie had skipped school that day. The computer sits right by his door. (This was before the big room changes)I arrived home sooner than expected and went straight to the computer. Willie hid under a blanket on his bed, in the fetal position, for over two hours. Sandra and Ryan were aware of his predicament, but were enjoying watching it play out too much to tell on him. They finally had to leave the family room, they were so tickled. I thought they were standing behind me and reading over my shoulder. A habit I find highly annoying. They were just checking on Willie's predicament.
I didn't know until the school called to report my child had missed classes. He couldn't get away with it - the school automatically calls.

kids stuff
Ryan did eventually come home from Boston and has settled nicely into his new Target position.
Willie has been training for his new position, but they need to hire more to replace him on the sales floor before he can switch full time.
Will also got a season ticket to Adventureland and has discovered that roller coasters are fun and this is not the childhood form of torture he once thought.
He called me at work. With all sorts of screaming going on in the background he challenged me to guess what he had just did. To give you an idea of where my mind was racing - I didn't even know he had left work for the day. I hear the screaming and I'm doing the mommy prayer that he hasn't broken the law. Luckily, he was so excited he just had to share his accomplishment of overcoming his childhood fears. He makes it out there a few days a week now.
Will turns 18 this Thursday. Cake and ice cream are at 6:pm. (Hey - my alarm goes off at 3:am)
Sandra had a visit with our family doctor sees her (and mine) ob/gyn on the 8th. This is the doctor who didn't want to be too aggressive in treating her cervical pre-cancerous condition. Good thing. She was newly and - unknowingly to all - pregnant and would have lost the baby due to aggressive treatment had we not switched to this doctor.

the grandma update
My grandchild is keeping his mother quite moody (sometimes it is a happy mood!)and nauseous. She has already made quite a bit of body changes. She doesn't have long before maternity clothes will be required, not just a comfortable option.
My grandchild has arms, legs, fingers and toes. (The toes are no longer webbed. Poor little fellow. Webbed toes I think would help in the pool.)Eye color is developing. There are eyelids, ears, a nose and a mouth. The external sex organs are developed, but too small too distinguish with an ultrasound. The baby now would react to touch.
