It didn't take long for the love to start

Dad asks for a kiss

What he got was a slobbery lick!

My only true wish for Christmas did not come true; and it went down hill from there.
Being rejected is worse than being ignored.
The day after was a very bad day for me. I took Tuesday off of work to grieve.
I didn't do it, break it, cause it, say it, and I can do nothing to fix it.
I don't do helpless real well.
I am becoming a master of hopeless.

My biggest, wish, hope and dream for Christmas
That Ryan, Sandra and Lilly would show up our door on Christmas eve to share the beginning of a wonderful Christmas holiday.
That's all I want for Christmas.
No gift could campare to the joy of having them here.
So please join me in praying for my Christmas miracle.

We went to visit Lilly last Saturday evening.
Wait until you see what she is up to here!
We had a nice visit with Sandra and Lilly.
We all went shopping and then out to eat.

Lilly's not a baby anymore! Gramps and I got her an early Christmas present - and Lilly is way excited to start. This is just a few minutes after getting home from the store. Lilly wanted it out of the box and then wanted her diaper off. What a big girl!

Today was worth the trip. We really had a great day with Lilly.
Sandra and Ryan were gone most of the afternoon and evening and we had Lilly to ourselves thanks to the graciousness of Jackie. She suggested we take Lilly out for some quality time. We took her to Target of course! While there Lilly grabbed my always present "bear" necklace. She looked at me and smiled. I have no doubt she was remembering. She laughed and bit it. She teethed for many months on my bear necklace!
We bought her new Christmas outfit, shoes! and a new winter coat and hat. We had a blast! Afterwards we went out for pizza!
I got to give Lilly her bath. We did our familiar drying routine, with lotion. Lilly was right back knowing me and our routine.
Lilly even cried when we left. (I did a little)
We are still trying to talk Sandra into coming down for the weekend. We will let everyone know if Lilly is here so everyone can squeeze in a visit!

For the record every day of every month all year long is pain awareness for me. This month I will mourn the passing of another summer. With this also being National Hispanic Heritage Month, at least it can go out with a Marguerita.
