Woo Hoo!
We have firm poop some of the time now! We still have those juicy moments, but it is getting better. Potty training is getting back on track. Her appetite is getting there. We are up to a normal diet - for a two year old. Peanut butter sandwiches, raisins, cheese, and goldfish crackers.
I did ban her from goldfish crackers earlier today. Then I vacuumed.
She is still under quarantine. We will respect that for the sake of the public.
You'll walk funny all day.
I had my orthopedic appointment yesterday. I no longer have to wear my cast, use my crutches, and I got a shot of cortisone directly into the top of my foot. YEOW!
I have to go back in two weeks. I'm still having quite a bit of pain.
First thing I did was go trade vehicles with Rand. I got my Jeep back!
Did I mention what I thought was arthritis kicking up in my left foot my Doctors said wasn't? I have had 2-3 sets of x-rays and a bone scan. They think it was a stress fracture, but aren't sure that is the complete diagnosis.
I went through and posted some more pictures of Lilly. Enjoy!

That's my lil' brother Alan behind the chair on the right. All my brothers look exactly alike at this age. I know it is not Don because his chin isn't wet. Don was a heavy drooler...still is. Jeff would have been in diapers at this point.
I'm curious if that is the red tricycle I rode down the basement stairs. Got my first stitches that way. I didn't know how to steer yet. It didn't occur to me to stop.
I am the spitting image of my great grandmother. I know this is exactly what I will look like when I grow old.

No!No!No!
Sandra and I both have severe body aches, headaches, and we agree our tummies feel "funny".
This is not a good week for me to miss work. I leave for work in one hour.
I'm thinking I need just a little nap so that the room will stop spinning.
We are trying Lilly on a BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) diet today. She has done okay so far on rice and crackers. Nothing up, but still severe diarrhea. She has no interest in bananas.

it rained for 40 days and 40 nights
in Lilly's diapers
Lilly is done, we think, with the vomiting.
She is eating very small bits here and there.
The diarrhea is still severe and bad enough to be considered severe. She has a literal lake of poo with every small toot. We lost count of how many outfits she went through today.
And sofa cushions.
We are still offering her lots of Pedialyte to stave off dehydration. So far so good, but we know very well that could change in a few hours time.
Lilly is a bit happier and playing quietly; but it is sad to see her so weak and tiring so easily.

It just never stops!
One of the cats just deposited a super disgusting mess in the litter box and didn't cover. GAG!
Before Sandra and I could recover from the fumes we were hightailing it to the kitchen because a cat (Meowers) was puking in there. She is blaming my cat (Camper) for the litter box. I'm blaming her cat for both.
Sandra took care of the kitchen while I handled the litter box. I thought about puking in it - it was that bad.
Camper is now following Meowers around in morbid fascination.

QUARANTINED
Bright and early Thursday morning, actually just early - there was no real bright yet, Lilly threw up.
Sandra called me at work. I had went in to work for just a few hours. It was even supposed to be my day off. I bought mass quantities of Pedialyte and headed home.
After Lilly's initial tossing, it was fluids in (no matter how small of gulp) fluids came back up. It didn't even require a fluid input, fluid was still coming up.
Lilly was sick.
We fought dehydration all we could. It was a bit scary. She spiked a fever. Her diapers stayed dry. (Even the diarrhea stopped - a bad sign of dehydration) There was no bothering with pull ups and potty training, she was too sick.
Lilly's fever hoovered between 100 and 103. We had no luck getting Tylenol to stay down.
I left for work early Friday morning after only a couple of hours sleep. I tried to go to bed once. I was just getting comfortable when I heard Lilly crying for Gramma. I held her most of the night.
I only worked less than two hours and then we took Lilly to the doctor as walk-ins. It had been 24 for hours and she was still getting worse. Over the course of the past 24 hours I doubt we had gotten 3 oz. of fluids in her to stay. The way her fever was going, she was burning more than that. This was no ordinary stomach flu.
"Dr. Rosie" said it was a rotovirus. Lilly would be very ill for a minimum of 4-5 days and able to spread it to others for 2-3 three weeks following. She told us to quarantine Lilly for two weeks after she seemed fine. The Dr. stressed this has been hitting the area hard, mostly because people didn't understand how contagious and capable of spreading it they even a week or two after they thought they were better.
An average flu on requires a 24 hour quarantine after the easing of symptoms; which also have a 24 hour lifespan. We're looking at double that at minimum and then the quarantine.
We thought that was a bit ironic since we had just spent over two hours in the waiting room - and now they tell us to keep her away from the public.
Last night I pretty well slept on the love seat with Lilly. Sandra was on the couch and we tagged teamed it holding Lilly, dispensing Tylenol and clean up. My furniture will never be the same again. Praise God for the little green machine. and Frebreeze.
Today (Saturday) Lilly finally broke a fever. I've been more successful getting fluids down her and tiny bit bit of other clear diet staples. The fluids are not being thrown up as much - but Lilly has become the main source of poop lakes. We spent quite a bit of time of sleeping on the sofa together. Lilly now gets to rest on several layers of towels.
She even had a tiny bit of ornery in her tonight, but definitely happier cuddling than playing.
Sunday
Lilly only ran a small temp last night. And she spent more time in her bed then my arms.
Lilly is very growly, has started complaining of being hungry, but has no appetite. This only seems to anger her more. I started her on a clear diet (jello, broth, and flavored pedialyte) yesterday. Today we have graduated to bland (rice, toast, crackers). No fever or vomiting today, but still have poop lakes and farts that will clear a room.
The rest of us have had some GI upset, but nothing compared to Lilly's nightmare.
This is the sickest she has ever been. Our doctor said she was very close to being hospitalized for dehydration. We manged to avoid that. Her eczema tried to flare and I nipped that in the bud.
later the same day
Wowee - just drained another poop lake. It is amazing that alone doesn't keep her dehydrated.
We are still using layers of towels on the furniture. Especially the ottoman where the diaper changes happen.Lots of things still smell strange. We keep cleaning, but wonder if it is just our perception at this point. We are sure one of the sofa pillows isn't just our perception. And it has lost sitting on the sofa privileges. Rand wondered if we could get them dry cleaned. I was thinking professionally steamed cleaned.
Rand went to take his shower and Lilly got quite upset that Gramps locked the bathroom door.
In her "nothing is right in my world rage" she pulled a leaf off a nearby plant. Then in horror came to show us saying, "Uh-oh owies" repeatedly.
I have taught her to be nice to plants. We pet them, water them, and have named them.
much later.....
Finally the howling Miss Lilly is down for the night.....maybe I should rephrase that - hopefully for the night
Finally, time to actually hit publish.

Lilly is such an angel. She will wear the wings with anything any time. Last night I actually said out loud, " you can't wear your wings on the potty - they hang too low." This made the angel very sad.
