So far it's all systems go
I have spent many a night trying to fix my blog. The only sure thing I have decided is New Blogger sucks. My Google account won't remember me no matter how many times I ask.
Do be sure to scroll down and check out the pictures.
Rob, if your wondering what to get me for Mother's Day - How about helping me set up a dot com?
Sandra - quit smoking.
Willie - drop the new Eeyore attitude.

I'm still wearing a cast on my left leg. My right foot is finally healed enough from the bruise I have been able to give up the wheelchair at work.
Hate to admit it, but I felt a lot better in the evenings using my wheelchair at work.
I go back to my orthopedic on Thursday afternoon.
I have decided no matter what he says I am done wearing the cast on this day.
I am sick of it, my knee and hip pain have increased because of it, and I want to drive my Jeep again. Life is short - drive a Jeep!

This Thursday I do have off. So does Rand. I will be taking him to his first endoscopy. They are looking for an ulcer. Rand coming out of anesthesia isn't pretty. Some people can't hold their own on the good drugs.
I'm years behind on my GI tests. I'm putting if off because I figure I will "flunk". I will be told to dramatically change my life, which I don't care to; and I know my adhesions are rearranging my insides again and they would probably decide I need surgery. I'm not in the mood - Thanks, but NO.

Lilly gets funnier every day. Tonight while I was playing with her at bath time she suddenly patted the tub mat next to her said, "Gramma take a bath with Iggy." It was tempting, a bath sounded good, but I did declined to her protests.

I'm beginning to hate blogger. My pictures keep disappearing.
I'm going to bed.
Grrrr.......

Ready.......Set.............Go!

So?
I'm still posting more than you are!

Beware, I caught up on my photo posting. You have a month of Lilly following this.

I spent a couple of weeks in my wheelchair, my right foot appreciated this. My hands have never been in such arthritic pain. The bruise is finally fading.
I'm still in a cast on my left foot. I have another bone scan in the morning.
I have been dealing with this foot since January, I'm quite tired of it all.
As long as I don't use it at all, it doesn't hurt too much. The cast helps some, but not enough to want to wear it. Doc says I have to.

Phyllis passed away on Saturday.
Peace be with you dear friend.

Spring fun!

When Gramma

is at work

and you really,

really miss her,

the next best thing

to do.........

is pretend

to be Gramma.

You wear her

reading glasses

and read the TV guide

while sitting in her spot.

You can even

put your drink on

her coaster.

Flattery is the most sincere compliment.

Left foot, left foot,
Right foot, right.
This happens to be a favorite book of Lilly's and a good start to my week.
Walking without my cast or any walking aid has been extremely painful. The cortisone shot made no difference.
The fracture may be healed, but whatever the original pain was - is still lingering and trying to knock me off my feet.
Luckily, I can handle that all by myself.
Tuesday morning, I awoke and limped into the kitchen to take my morning handful of pain pills. Leaving the kitchen, I spied a few tools I had been using the day before, rehanging a few pictures and such. I picked them up, deciding to put them away on my way to get dressed. A very large steel tape measure fell from my hands and landed squarely on my right foot, bouncing off my steel plate, my little souvenir from my bone tumor many years ago.
The pain was way worse than seeing stars. I damn near wet myself.
There was immediate goose type swelling. I headed to the doctor instantly. A few minutes later while checking in I had to remove my Croc, my foot was swelling so much, it no longer fit.
My foot was x-rayed, it is not broke, but I did burst a good size blood vessel so the swelling and subsequent bruising is impressive. I was ordered off of it and to keep it elevated.
So I went to work anyway.
I am on crutches again. The left foot nor the right foot, wanting to walk now. I even had to use a wheelchair a few days at work. I am unable to go very far on crutches, the pain is overwhelming. That says a lot right there. I have lived with pain every day for the past
Today I was able to wear a slipper on my right foot. The swelling was down some.
I had another visit with my orthopedic today. I start massive doses of steroids now to see if it helps. He is beginning to talk about my left foot needing surgery. He's thinking I have an inflamed nerve.
I have to wear my walking cast again and am still to stay off my right foot.
I got to admit - this is slowing me down a lot!
At some point this week, I have whacked my left hand pretty good. No idea when or how, but it is very tender and the knuckles are bruised. My feet hurt so much I didn't notice this until today.
Lilly and I have been playing "Got your nose" quite a bit lately. After awhile she gets bored and plays "Got your brain". Luckliy, her toddler size fingers aren't long enough to reach it yet. Still pretty unsettling to have someone else's fingers that far up your nose.

Don't Eat That!
Yesterday I was doing some mending and lay my needle down to test my latest stitching. I was careful to hide it a bit on the side table. Didn't need Lilly or the cats getting hold of it.
I checked my stitching and seconds later reached for my needle to start the next project. I caught a glimpse of the tail end of the thread going disappearing in Camper's mouth. I grabbed her and tried to get hold.
The vet says it most like will pass without causing any damage.
In the mean time, I get to inspect cat poop looking for any sign that this has happened.
